You can get married with your pet standing or sitting near you, you will receive a symbolic certificate which declares this and it will be noted in the special Albo in the Council office. This innovation included in the new edition –“Weddings in Montecarlo” is presented by the Mayor Mr. Vittorio Fantozzi with the councillors Miss Angelita Paciscopi e Mr. Massiliano Paluzzi together with the President Centro Commerciale Naturale Mr. Antonio Pirozzi and the President Consorzio Vini Doc Mr. Gino Carmignani known as Fuso. Besides giving you the possibility to marry all year round between 9.00 a.m. to midnight, the Town Council in Montecarlo confirms that you may choose between many beautiful locations, the splendid 1700’s Teatro dei Rassicurati (Theatre) , 1300’s Fortezza del Cerruglio (Fortress) and Montecarlo’s historic wineries and cellars in the territory.There are new locations which have joined in the project, thus, you now have a larger choice for the numerous places and different types of locations which you can choose for saying your “Yes, I do,” as well as, a further growing number of restaurants in the territory are joining in the initiative offering special prices for those couples which choose Montecarlo for their wedding and if they desire, to have a partying the area. A very special offer, if one considers the good food and wine tradition recognized by the associations Città del Vino and Bandiera Arancione.With the new edition, the couple can also choose the councillor (man or woman) for their wedding celebration (see the photogallery web site www.comune.montecarlo.lu.it), another surprise is that the wedded couple will receive a bottle of wine (Doc) with their names printed on the label.This bottle in a special limited edition donated by the cellar owners being part of the event, will be given as a gift to all those couples in love which choose tomorrow to celebrate San Valentino at Carlo IVth Hill, in the restaurants that have joined in the project “Weddings in Montecarlo”. The absolutely new thing for this edition is the possibility that you can have near you your pet, which is simply for many Italians one of the family, for the pet’s presence, a certificate will be issued and it will be noted in the Albo Comunale, the first in Italy, “Animals of the family” which will be published on line after the first celebration of this kind, with photos, resident data, news and free thoughts.This new edition goes beyond the civil wedding ceremony, hence linking to this initiative the rural and agricultural vocation belonging to Montecarlo where the co-existance between man and animal is a fundamental part of our history, culture and identity, emphasized by the mayor Mr. Vittorio Fantozzi .
